CARMINA BURANA
AT THE KKL LUZERN

Even though it deals with fate, life and death, Carl Orff’s world-famous cantata «Carmina Burana» comes across as thoroughly down-to-earth, ranging from sophisticated to earthy, yet always deeply sensual. Music for everyone – symbolised by the collaboration between the Gürzenich Orchestra Köln, choirs from Cologne, the Luzerner Kantorei and soloists. In total more than 250 musicians!

KKL Luzern — Thu, 23 April 2026, 7.30 pm

ALL-ROUNDERS —
AURORA ORCHESTRA AND HAYATO SUMINO

Hayato Sumino is a phenomenon: a classical pianist, but also a jazz musician, composer and YouTuber with a huge number of followers. There is hardly a piece that would suit him better than Gershwin’s "Rhapsody in Blue". This is complemented by Stravinsky’s iconic "Sacre du Printemps", as only the Aurora Orchestra can perform it: from memory, full of energy and without being tied to the stage.

Tonhalle Zurich — Tue, 28 April 2026, 7.30 p.m.
Casino Bern — Wed, 29 April 2026, 7.30 p.m.
Victoria Hall Geneva — Thu, 30 April 2026, 7.30 p.m.
